Springfield Local Schools Information
Springfield Township has an excellent school system. The
Springfield Public School District is committed to
providing high quality, efficient educational programs that
are second to none. Every
effort is made to ensure that the district's certificated
and support personnel are among the best in their fields.
The school district is made up of three elementary schools,
a middle school with grades five through eight and a four-year high school.
The Springfield school district stresses individualized instruction and a full spectrum of
academic and extracurricular activities.
Jonathan Dayton High School, in conjunction with the families
and community it serves, provide a solid foundation in basic
skills, in more complex areas of learning, and in a variety
of non-academic aspects of students' lives. "We hope
to encourage life-long learning, help students to use leisure
time effectively, and aid them in evolving a sound sense
of values." This school prepares young adults for a world of adult work and works
toward helping students become responsible members of
the community.
